Tuning in to Radio Earn
Talking kindness at a care home and Mamma Mia takes on Bob Dylan with the backing of some chickens. But what does it all mean? It means the Strath will soon have its very own community radio station, and Inside Strathearn went in search of the details.
This is the first in what will hopefully be a series of podcasts for and about the people and communities of Strathearn. This episode is already available via the Podbean app and will soon be up on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts and Spotify. If you use another distribution channel and would like to be able to find it there, just let me know.
Initially, I aim to publish a new episode every fortnight and an occasional special if something irresistible pops up. I’m always on the lookout for interesting local stories, so if you have something to share, please get in touch.
A big thank you to the people who contributed to this maiden episode, and to the fine local musicians who gave permission to use their material on this episode:
- Theme tune: Summer, written by Kenny Graham and performed by Halfway to Barra
- Crieff Folk Club intro by Nigel Gatherer
- McCabe’s Spruce by Neil Thomson
- Jekyll & Hyde by Scoogz
